Planning Summit Series
In November 2022, the City invited the public to learn about the Comprehensive Plan Update and share their opinions on a variety of topics at five Planning Summits. Each event had a specific focus, with live polling that allowed participants to weigh in on issues related to housing, transportation, and other Comprehensive Planning Topics. The recordings of these sessions as well as the results from the polling are available below.

Kick-Off Event
On November 3rd, 2022, The Planning Summit Series began with a Kick-Off Event that invited attendees to learn about the Comprehensive Plan Update and share general feedback about challenges and opportunities for the Sammamish.

Visioning Summit
On November 7th, 2022, The Planning Summit Series continued with a Visioning Summit aimed at reflecting on the Vision Statement in the existing Comprehensive Plan and sharing feedback on how it can be updated to reflect the vision for Sammamish moving forward.

Housing Summit
On November 10th, 2022, The Planning Summit focused on the Housing element of the Comprehensive Plan update, including information on the Housing Needs Assessment that was completed in October 2022. Participants shared their visions for retaining the character of Sammamish while accounting for population growth and affordability.

On November 14th, 2022, The Planning Summit focused on the Mixed Use Centers. Participants shared what they value in mixed use centers and how they envision the mixed use centers in Sammamish better serving the pubklic.​

On November 16th, 2022, The Planning Summit focused on the Transportation element of the Comprehensive Plan update. Participants shared their visions for managing traffic flow, expanding public transportation, and improving pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
